2013 Fall Classic – 45+ Central – Jupiter Florida
The Mid South River Rats competed in the MSBL Fall Classic in November in the 45+ Central Divisions The River Rats went 3-2 in round robin play and 1-1 in the playoffs being eliminated in the second round by eventual champions San Antonio Reds 9-2. Local players on the Rats team were Scott Murry, Glenn Mayfield, Paul Tingley, Mike Muir and Brian Dunn.
2013 World Series – 55+ Central – Phoenix Arizona
The Mid South Warriors competed in the MSBL World Series in October in the 55+ Central Divisions The Warrrios went 4-1-1 in round robin play receiving a first round bye in the playoff round. The Warriors were eliminated from the tournament in the second round by the Chicago North Cubs 15 - 2.
2013 World Series – 70+ and 65+ – Phoenix Arizona
Bob Gates competed in both the 70+ and 65+ American Divisions at the MSBL World Series in Phoenix in October. Bob played for the Tri Valley Giants. The Giants went 1-5 in the 70+ Division. In the 65+ American Division the Giants were 2-3.
2013 Rocket City Classic – 45+ Wood Bat – Huntsville Alabama
The Mid South River Rats won the 45+ Division of the 2013 Rocket City Classic held in Huntsville, AL over the Labor Day weekend. The Rats finished with a perfect 5-0 record defeating the Mid South Warrios in the finals 14-3. It was an all Memphis finals. Billy Hellums was the winning pitcher for the Rats while Jodie Wolfe took the loss for the Warriors. To get to the finals the Rats defeated the Huntsville Sharknados, the Macon Whoopies, the Huntsville Stars and the Rocket City Reds. Local players on the Rats were Chris Howell, Paul Tingley, Dave Laschober, Scott Murry, Mike Muir, Jerry Weaver, Kent Hardin, Jason Hayes, Billy Hellums and Glenn Mayfield. Jason Hayes got the win in game 1 and finished on the mound in the championship game. Mike Muir got the win in game 2. Glenn Mayfield pitched a complete game shutout in game 3 to take the win. Billy Hellums picked up the win in both the semi final and championship games. Edwin Magras, who joined the Rats for the tournament, hit a 3 run bomb in the first inning of the championship game to put the Rats on top for good. This was the second consecutive year the Rats won the tournament going 9-0 in tournament play over that span.
2013 Rocket City Classic – 45+ Wood Bat – Huntsville Alabama
The Mid South Warriors competed in the 2013 Rocket City Classic held Labor Day weekend in Huntsville, AL. The Warriors advanced to the championship game, but lost to the River Rats in the championship game 14-3. Several Memphis area players competed for the Warriors at the tournament.
2013 Billy Townsend Memorial Day Tournament – 50+ – Atlanta Georgia
The Mid South Warriors competed in the Billy Townsend Memorial Day Touranment Memorial Day weekend. The Warriors went 4-1 in winning the tournament with the championship game win coming over the DC Express 5-4.
